Photo of the Week: Back 40

This week’s photo is probably the first in a number of outdoor shots, as the seasons’ changing leads to the some of the most picturesque colors of the year.  Paul and I went out to the back 40 a couple weeks ago and found this lovely stand of goldenrod.  The “back 40” for those who aren’t familiar, is the term we’ve come to use for the back quarter of our property, which we let grow wild this year.

We’ve actually found a lot of really beautiful plants in the back of the property, which I’ll hopefully be able to catalog in a later post.  Previous back 40 post can be found here.
